The AL-Scan optical biometer measures 6 values considered crucial in cataract surgery in just 10 seconds.
Fast measurement ensures clinical effectiveness and patient comfort.
This device features automatic 3D guidance and automatic measurement, ensuring ease of use, comfort, and accuracy of all measurements for the operator. Advanced measurement algorithms improve the relative noise level by reducing interference and amplifying the signal, enabling measurement of eyes even with advanced cataracts.
Features:
Six values essential for cataract surgery are measured within 10 seconds:
Axial length AL,
Corneal radius K,
Anterior chamber depth ACD,
Central corneal thickness CCT,
White-to-white distance WTW,
Pupil size PS.
Anterior segment imaging using a Scheimpflung camera and keratometry measurement – 3,600 points captured on two rings:
AL-Scan provides a cross-sectional image of the lens, an image of the pupil, and a reflected image of the double rings on the cornea.
Automatic 3D tracking and automatic measurement:
The camera follows eye movements in three X-Y-Z axes to ensure accurate eye alignment. Once properly aligned, it automatically measures the lens.
Toric Lens Assistance:
Image acquisition for toric lenses allows you to select the optimal image for digitally marking the astigmatism axis. These images enable improved surgical planning for accurate toric lens alignment.
IOL Power Calculation and Optimization of IOL Fixed Points:
IOL power is automatically calculated after measurement. The use of a personalized IOL constant improves postoperative accuracy.
Recalculation of measurement values:
AL-Scan Viewer allows for recalculation of modified axial length, white-to-white ratio, and pupil size data for accurate calculations.
