provides sharp and clear images that provide information on structures from the anterior surface of the cornea to the posterior lens capsule. The most important advantages of the rotational imaging process are the ability to precisely measure the central part of the cornea, correction against eye movements, easy fixation for the patient and very short examination time,
The camera creates an image of the anterior segment of the eye using a rotating camera that takes a series of measurements of the eye. This measurement procedure produces a three-dimensional image. A complete image with maximum resolution is obtained in no more than two seconds. Any eye movements during the measurement are corrected by a digital eye tracking system. The Pentacam® HR measures and analyzes up to 138,000 true elevation points to guarantee the most accurate image and evaluation of the eye. Each measurement creates a single cross-section of the entire eye surface. A three-dimensional model of the anterior segment of the eye is created from the resulting data,
